Why We Must Teach Children Both Word and Deed:

Children are too green to learn purely by example, and we’re too imperfect to teach purely by example.  That is why we must teach our children not only by trying to be good examples, but by telling them clearly and repeatedly of the ideals we fall short of, even as we aspire to them.
