Can the court allow parents to decide on their own for the custody of their child?
Not only are parents allowed to decide what the child custody award will be and how it will function, they are encouraged to do so, if they can.
Your judge neither must be nor wants to be the one to determine the child custody award if the parents can formulate and implement one of their own creation.
And as long as both parents are fit, loving parents who each put their children’s best interest ahead of their own respective self interest, THERE IS NO REASON ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH for parents to fight over child custody. They will, being the good, loving, responsible parent’s they are, work out a custody schedule that ensures that their children spend as much time in the care of each of their parents as reasonably possible.
