In my jurisdiction (Utah), mediation is a completely confidential process. Mediators are statutorily barred from making a report to the court and cannot be compelled to testify by either party or by the court. So in Utah mediators do not make make reports to the court, as they do in other jurisdictions (California being one that I am aware of).
