Week Two of Being a Legal Assistant

This is my first whole week of being a legal assistant and my second week on the job.

A lot of the time I am reminded of information I already know from my law and political science classes I took in college, and from what I’ve seen on legal TV shows.

Here’s a few examples of those kinds of things:

  1. Make sure you know something is 100% factual … no he said, she said shenanigans
  2. Make sure you can prove anything you claim
  3. Document everything you can, if someone makes a promise to you or reaches an agreement with you – make sure you get that in writing
  4. Never use blanket statements

Welp – see you next week with more updates from a learning legal assistant.
